Activities: Although the main activity is geared towards Mountain Biking their is also guided pony trekking and a number of way marked forest walks on offer. All these activties can be accessed from the BaseCamp car park where toilet and shower facilities are available.

Mountain Biking:

The trail network has been designed to offer something for all abilities of rider from funpark (blue), intermediate (red) and advanced (black). The funpark is guaranteed to put a smile on your face with berms, table tops and double jumps that drops you back to the car park, don't worry if you're not ready to "go big" just yet as the park has been designed to cater for most abilities of rider. A shuttle service will be on offer at the weekends transporting riders to the top of the funpark if you just fancy going downhill all day. Further information on the trail network can be found on the MTB trails page. A coin operated bike wash facility is available next to the MTB shop.

Kids Mountain Bike Club:

We are now running a kids mountain bike club. The aim of the club is to help introduce children to the sport of mountain biking and also improve the skills of those already involved in the sport. An SMBLA qualified quide will run the club every Saturday morning from 9.30-11.00am. Due to the grade of trails currently on offer at the centre we have set an age limit of 10+, consideration would be given to younger children with suitable bike handling skills. A suitable mountain bike and safety equipment are required. We do have a limited number of childrens bikes available for hire. The club must be booked in advance, please contact us for further details.

Night Riding:

We are open for night riding every Tuesday throughout the winter from November through to March. The cafe will be open with hot food and drink on offer until 10pm. If you don't have your own lights we have systems available for hire. Please contact us for further details.

Corrieyairack Pass:

This route is right on our doorstep so why not come up for the weekend and combine a classic all day cross country ride with some purpose built trails. The total distance from Fort Augustus to Laggan is 41.6KM. You will require OS Landranger maps 34 Fort Augustus and 35 Kingussie although navigation is relatively simple once on the route. The route is not for the most part that technical but it is a true high mountain route and should be treated as such by carrying the appropriate equipment.

As this is a point to point route transport can be a problem if you have to leave a vehicle at one end or draw straws to see who misses out on the ride. We realise this can be a problem and are now offering a shuttle service from the BaseCamp car park at Laggan out to Fort Augustus.

Standard Transfer - £15 per person (6 People Minimum).

Walking:

There are a number of forest walks on offer that are clearly marked and easy to follow. Further information on the various walks can be obtained from the Laggan Community website. We hope to have down loadable maps of the walking trails available soon.

Pony Trekking:

This facility is run by Halflinger Pony Trekking who are based within the main car park. There are dedicated trails for the ponies ensuring their is no conflict with the other forest users.

Trail Running:

There are currently no dedicated running trails within the forest. However most of the walking trails are suitable for this activity.
