Welcome to our site, we have available a traditional Irish cottage for all who wish to experience
Ireland independently and at their own pace. A self-catering holiday in an Irish cottage is the only way to
tour and love Ireland but still have the modern facilities you come to expect.
The cottage, located in County Kildare, and only 1 hour from Dublin, is in an area known as Kildoon,
4 miles outside Kildare town. It is situated in the heart of the countryside, in an area which displays the unique
flora and fauna characteristic to the bog.
The local area has some beautiful walks and cycle rides to suit all ages. The village of Kildoon
has its own pub where traditional music is played most weekends. It also has a shop providing essential and basic items.
Some of the tourist attractions located nearby are: The Irish National Stud, The Curragh Racecourse, The Japanese Gardens,
The Lullymore Heritage & Discovery Park.
The K Club golf course (host of the 2006 Ryder Cup) is only a 30 min.
drive away.
The county of Wicklow is closeby. It can be best described as " the lake district of Ireland"
and is of course, the home of the BBC series "Ballykissangel". Wicklow also boosts Glendalough, the
home of Saint Kevin, with its lakes and mountains it is a beautiful and historical
place to visit.
The local town of Athy is steeped in history and has the River Barrow flowing through it which is
ideal for fishing.
