those interested in the sea, apart from numerous beaches, there are scuba diving and international standard water skiing schools
close-by. You can also go horse riding, cycling and (in the winter months) there is excellent snow skiing on nearby Mt Parnassos.
For those interested in archaeology we are a short ride either by car or train from Athens and the Acropolis.
Halkida,
the main town , is a favourite destination for Greeks with its excellent seafood restaurants, and it bubbles with life even
in the winter months .

The island of EVIA
Evia is one of the least known , and yet largest of the Greek islands(second only to Crete). Even its name is there to confuse
you - in many of the maps it is written Euboea , which is the direct transliteration from Greek. Its size (over 500 miles
of coastline), jagged mountain range, and multitude of beaches, yet small population , means that you can really get away
from it all if you wish.
At the same time there are a good number of well organised beaches, plenty of good restaurants (Evia is famous among
Greeks for its fish) and a thriving night life even in the winter months.
