Hello, I am Kathleen Fisher the youngest daughter of Harry and Ettie Tappin, when
my brother David mentioned the idea of a Family Website my first thoughts where "What on earth could I contribute!" We,
being a big family group, do share our leisure pursuits and consequently lots of us are into photography, walking, gardening,
writing, narrowboating, looking around churches, plus many more interests too numerous to mention. So that left me with the
problem of finding something to share with you that no one else was likely to put on this site.
The solution came about whilst doing a piece for the Family News called "Postcards from
the Past". I will share with you my as yet small collection of early and not so early cards with local Lincolnshire scenes,
I do hope you enjoy looking at them. Pages listed below will be updated as my collection steadily expands; the images
are mainly of Grimsby and Cleethorpes but include the outlying surrounding areas. It should be borne in mind that
an image may have been used on postcards sold over a number of years so the postmark year many not necessarily be when
the photograph was taken.
