Welcome to Deli-Cacies, the North East of Scotland's newest delicatessen,
situated in the picturesque coastal town of Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire.
Located on Evan Street, Deli-Cacies is a mix of the modern and
the Art Deco period, housed in the original Carron Tea Rooms, which have recently been lovingly restored to their former
glory. One half of the Tea Rooms now operate as The Carron Restaurant, with Deli-Cacies occupying the other half of
the building. On the outside of the building is the terrific ornate brass designs, whilst inside you find a tasteful and spacious
wooden floored shopping area. The high ceiling and tasteful lighting makes it a pleasure to shop at Deli-Cacies, and there
are no cramped aisles, so babies and their pushchairs are most welcome, with their parents of course.
We stock a veritable feast of goodies, ranging from the finest
of imported hams and salami, cheeses from the length and breadth of Great Britain and the Continent, including Mull Cheddar,
Stinking Bishop, Coolea, Cooleney, and Old Dutch Master, to name but a few. The finest of Kalamata olives, sun blushed tomatoes
in garlic, a wide range of salad items, pates, pies, tortillas, quiches and grilled vegetables. We also stock other less well
known specialities such as Scottish Beef Jerky, and African Style Biltong.
For those of you on special diets, we stock a range of gluten
and wheat free products, sugar free and diabetic produce, and of course, a massive range of organic produce. There are cereals
from Dingwall, jams and preserves from Edinburgh and France, beans and pulses that only Delia Smith or Nigella Lawson think
they can find, and spices that Rick Stein and Jamie Oliver would be proud to have in their larders. We stock Smoked Salmon
and Smoked Meats from The Achiltibuie Smokehouse, Ullapool, and we also have fine wines from all over the world, and
an unrivalled range of Real Ales, from micro breweries all over Scotland.
Where possible we source from independent Scottish producers,
but we also have a very cosmopolitan approach to our stock. If the product is good, we stock it. If we are asked for somthing
we do not have, we try to get it.
Also, isn't it nice these days that we as consumers have
a conscience? That's why where possible we stock Fair Trade produce, from chocolate to coffee and teas and anything else that
is fair to those who produce it .
