My name is David Lown, MA, and I am a writer and art historian from Cambridge, England. I am also the director of Roma Antica, a cultural association, which organises tours of Rome and Florence.
My experience of introducing people to the cultural treasures of Italy goes
back many years. While working as a lecturer in art history, I led numerous groups on study tours of Rome, Florence
and Venice. In 2001, I decided to settle here permanently.
I set up Roma Antica to provide quality tours for small groups of people. I firmly believe that one of the keys to a
successful tour is the size of the group, which is why I restrict mine to a maximum of ten people.
