Reiki Mentor and its sister organisation, Angel Whispers, are providers of Reiki and

other therapies. In addition to these tangible therapies, I aim to offer a very

informal but spiritual service of counselling for those who like more from their

Reiki.

At the very least, I hope you will relax after your Reiki treatment over a cup of tea and a biscuit!

About me

My name is Mike Vickers.

I am retired and live on the outskirts of Andover in Hampshire. In my "mainstream" career, I was an I.T. Manager of some 25 years standing. Prior to that, I spent over 15 years in what use to be called "Personnel." I have spent most of my working life involved with people.

I consider myself very fortunate to have had TWO such diverse careers.

So, why Reiki?

So, how did I get into Reiki?

Well it's along story!

The abridged version is that I was first introduced to it by a very good friend

who was studying it at the time. She was struck down by a terrible illness

with a long , (unpronounceable!) name. With her husband and friends, at her bedside, we were told that she had hours to live.Then two of us came up with the idea to contact her Reiki master and friend. It was a case of "nothing to lose" We managed to get the lady in question to her bedside to give her some Reiki.

Now, I wish to make it clear that Reiki does NOT claim to be a cure for such a serious illness, but I saw a change in her that day and can only believe it was the energy form Reiki that made her fight back, but fight back she did! She went on to run TV channels in Amsterdam and now gives classes on spiritutal "stuff" A real inspiration. That was some 8 years ago now. Two of us that were at her bedside that day decided that we would follow the Reiki path and here I am!

Reiki is not just about giving healing, its a life style.

So, why "Mentor?"

Well, I know that my experience of life both at work and socially has equipped me to take on the role of Mentor to those who feel that they may need it. I have "been there" for so many people, be they friends, colleagues or my partner. My philosophy on life is simple.

As we go through life, we gain knowledge through our experiences.

One of the advantages of age is the storeroom of knowledge and

experience that each of us has accrued over the years.

So, why should I not share that store with those who are less well equipped to deal with life as yet?

So, why "ReikiMentor?"

Thats easy to explain.

I offer a one hour Reiki session for those who just want to feel the benefits of Reiki.

However, I know from experience that some people feel so relaxed after receiving Reiki that they feel the need to chat. This chat often leads to them opening up and "getting things off their chest"

If you think this might suit you, then simply let me know when you book so that I can set aside enough time. I make no promises about solving your problems, but I do believe that listening is half the battle.

I dont charge extra for the chat, so why not give it a go?

You may wonder why I would offer this extra time to listen at no charge. Well, its something that I have felt the need to do, since

I got into Reiki. Lets say that I feel driven!
