Ever wanted to ride into the sunset without knowing
when you're coming back? Yeah, me too, and last year I gave myself the opportunity to do just that.
The timetable of work, annual leave and mortgage payments that previously
dictated my thoughts, attitude and agenda were thrown aside and I indulged a very personal desire.

The broad plan is to visit the southern
most town in the world (Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego), turn about and ride north as far as I could go - provisionaly
heading for the northern most point of the north american landmass (Deadhorse, Alaska).
I never made it to Alaska, but over 22,000 miles and 9 months I had
a great adventure (see the report here). This year, starting in June I'll be crossing the north American landmass from east to west and completing
the trip to Alaska (see the report here).
I'm happiest when on a road-trip and I've
taken many before - often on the bike, sometimes in a car, very often into Europe, but occasionally further afield. However, these were mere appetizers and now I'm grabbing the opportunity to indulge the hunger for bigger adventures.
