David launched his interim communications business in 2003 after forty years in public relations and marketing for the
public, private and not for profit sectors. He has worked as an interim manager/director for such diverse organisations
as Severn Trent, BT, several NHS bodies, the Home Office, an African Caribbean arts centre, WRAP and a teachers' association.
A typical assignment lasts between three and six months, preferably with clearly defined deliverables. Recently David
has found himself in demand for short term consultancy projects helping organisations plan their crisis management procedures,
customer experience and marketing programmes. He also advises on media training, public speaking and presentations.
He is a published author, and broadcast three short programmes on Carlton TV. David has recently joined the West Midlands
Advisory Committee to the Forestry Commission. In his free time he works unpaid as a Methodist Preacher.

David Hallam served as an elected Member of the European Parliament
between 1994 and 1999. He specialised in agriculture, rural affairs, food processing and the drinks industry. He also took
a keen interest in e-commerce, telemedics and economic development. David was a member of the EU/ACP Joint Parliamentary Assembly,
the Joint Committee of the European Parliament and the Slovak National Council, and the standing delegation to the Israeli
Knesset. He was the President of the Parliament's monthly Prayer Breakfast.
David's parliamentary work took him to
France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Finland, Sweden, Slovakia, Northern Ireland, Israel,
Palestine, Jordan, Japan, Taiwan, China, and the United States.
David has also been a member of Sandwell Metropolitan
Borough Council. He is well qualified to advise on relations with the European Union, central government and local authorities.
David Hallam comes from Hackney in East London. He went to Sussex University where he was awarded the degree of Bachelor of
Arts. Afterwards he completed postgraduate diplomas in management studies (DMS) and marketing (DipM). He is a member of the
Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM) and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (MCIPR). David has recently completed
a PRINCE2 Foundation course. He founded his interim management company, Horizon Glen Ltd, in 2003.
