Members of City Road Methodist Church, Birmingham, strive to bring the good news that Jesus died to save all that accept Him
as Lord and Saviour.
In the 1970s the Church was near to closing when the remaining membership placed a sign outside the church telling the
surrounding neighbourhood that "Jesus Cares About Rotton Park".
Since then CRMC has welcomed new members, visitors, migrants and asylum seekers from every corner of the world.
Our current congregation includes people from the Caribbean, West Africa, Zimbabwe, Figi, the Indian Sub Continent, and
Malaysia. Some members are able to speak French and German.
We constantly pray that the Lord will bring us enthusiastic Christians ready to live and work in this inner city area
of Birmingham. We are evangelical in outlook with a strong charismatic influence.
Even if you are staying in Birmingham for just a few months, as a student, au pair, asylum seeker, or on a work placement,
you will be very welcome.
Each Sunday morning members of CRMC meet together at 10.00 am for breakfast, followed by Bible study and Junior Church
at 10.30 am.
At 11.00 am the Church comes together for a service of worship.
The Church uses "Hymns and Psalms", "Songs of Fellowship", and the Methodist Worship Book. Copies
of the NIV Bible are available for all members of the congregation.
Other Church activities include weekly prayer meetings and Bible studies, and special activities during Lent and Advent.
Details are available on a weekly newsheet.
The Church was opened in 1903 and is located in Rotton Park on the A4040 Outer Birmingham Ring Road. The Church is part
of the Birmingham West and Oldbury Circuit of the Methodist Connexion in Great Britain.
