I am delighted to be taking
the helm of the new Solent regional station 'Original 106FM' as Programme Director. This will be the UK's first Adult Alternative
station and I can't wait to unearth all those great songs that radio seems to have abandoned.
Original 106FM is clearly

A big 'thank you' to all my friends and ex-colleagues at Signal Radio for
the wonderful presentation disc, (pictured above), which I received, together with a bottle of one of my favourite
tipples, at an informal gathering in October to commemmorate my 22 years at the station.
Apparently there was much debate over what to get me....but top marks to whoever came up with
the idea of mounting a copy of the Neil Diamond single, 'Beautiful Noise'. This was the first record I played when
the station launched on Monday September 5th 1983. I can't think of a more fitting gift and will display it with pride
in my next office.
