Hi Lex
What's the new car like?
Lex: It is complete different to the car I drove last year.
You can see and feel it is a car direct imported from the NHRA circuit. Driving the car
is a real pleasure, it responses to everything you do.
The car is really awesome.
When did you start drag racing?
Lex: My first race was in 1984.
If you wasn't driving a top fuel dragster what would you drive?
Lex: That's not so difficult, this would be a FC.
What do you think the car will run this year?
Lex: That's hard to say, as far as I know this is the first complete TF operation
imported from the USA, we know the car does run the numbers there.
When we have the perfect (track) conditions we will try to lower the European record
into the 4.6. To be the fastest outside the USA would be great.
Although records are nice to set, our main goal will be winning rounds, and becoming
European Champion.
Now you have Eddie Corr as your crew chief, do you think that you have a better change of winning?
Lex: Eddie has proofed to be the man to have in your team, no doubt we have a better chance,
Eddie an myself do have the same attitude, and that is winning, no matter what knife between the toots and go!
What did you learn at the Thunderball?
Lex:We gained a lot of data, I got seat time, the crew start learning and the best thing,
we know we have the car to beat them all.
What does it feel like to drive a 6500hp car?
Lex: Actually this car makes more then 7500, well it is really hard to describe,
one moment you are at the start line, the next you are 200 ft further.
The pressure on your body is hard, it's like taking a dive into the water from 200
meter high. Be aware of the fact to react before you can think.
How busy are you on a off season?
Lex: Busy enough, we have our own shop and we have always work related to our dragrace
program.
Thanks Lex
Nice Talking
