Hi Danny
What is it like to race in pro mod?
I raced in pro mod with my ford
pop in "97" which was pretty good for what it was but this is my first year in pro mod with a real pro mod car, so far i am
really enjoying it but the real test comes in a couple of weeks at the Main EventWhat
do you think about the Main Event?
To race at the Main Event with a big crowd and hopefully put a few fellow
foreigners back on the trailer should be awesome, but anything can happen and these are great competitors. we shall see !Why did you move in to pro mod?
It's where i have always wanted to be from the time it began.
Why did you start drag racing?
Now thats my dad's fault, he started bringing me in the early
70's and that was it, i was hooked. So yes i blame him.How long have you been
drag racing?
As i say i have been coming since the 70's crewing for my dad, and i built a mk II escort with a 1760 cross flow,
5 speed & LSD, took it to North Weald and run 14.77. from there i had John Webster build me my Ford Pop which ended up
runing 7.63 @ 180 mph, then bought the rover 220 coupe and ran it in Super Modified, won two championships and run a best
of 7.26 @ 191 mph, here i am today in the class i have always wanted to be in.
Would
we ever see you move in to Top Fuel?
To be honest i would drive one if it was offered to me but Pro Mod is where i want to be.
Is driving a pro mod more fun than super modified?
I will let you know at the end of the
year, i hope so though.
Who is your main competitor at the Main Event?
They all are, i would never under estimate anybody, they are all tough cookies but every dog has it's day,
I think you have great car and you are a good driver.
I also
thing i have a great car thanks to Andy Robinson and everybody that partisipated in completing it, A big thanks must got to
my crew cheif Dave Reed and my wife for....... just being there.
As for the driver i don't think he has prooved himself yet.....!
Hope you
win!
Many thanks, so do i.
Thanks
Nice talking
