The variety of things to do during your stay is endless, but we have detailed a few available below.
Getting married?
Then let us organise it for you, you can now be legally married in our courtyard. We will cater the event for you ( 40
to 50 is comfortable), supply a traditional touch such as strolling violinist who will accompany you to the ceremony. Call
for more details.
Hit the beach: We are only 25 minutes from the nearest beach at Alaminos, but Governors Beach 10minutes further
is well worth a visit. You have a choice of 5 quality Tavernas, right next to the beach. Further afield there is the
beautiful Nisi beach at Ayia Napa, further to drive but end the day in one of the (numerous) Fish restuarants around the old
fishing port.
Walking: There are lots of signposted walks from the Village and the
surrounding areas. Make sure to take a walking stick in summer as banging it down as you walk will tend to get the snakes
off the tracks.
Horse riding: We can organise this for you at Tochni village, about 20
minutes from us.
Mountain biking: Bring your bike with you there are unlimited trails around
us and if you get bored with them we can transport you further up into the mountains. We have now linked up with Hike &
Bike Cyprus to run professional guided tours with the benefit of local knowledge & insurance.
Just wandering: We are still
finding new alleyways and old beautifully restored or falling down traditional houses around the Village. Visit the Lace Museum
& Kates House right opposite the Hotel. Kate has converted a major part of her house into a Museum, with old wine
presses, storage urns and hundreds of wonderful items that you would not otherwise see. Its a snap shot in time that will
show you how the Cypriots lived 70 to 80 years ago, she doesnt charge but make a donation and youll see even more next time
you visit.
Got a car?: Then the Island is yours, Waterparks, Ancient monuments, Monastries
( make the drive up to Stavrarouni for a breathtaking Island wide view), Every water sport you can think of, and then some.
Ever flown a banana?
Quad biking & Paintball: The
boys at Kwest will come and pick you up from the Hotel and take you for a 1/2 days fun. Try a quad on there custom built track
or just relax and shoot someone. Most of us can think of someone we`d like to shoot on a family holiday, eh.
Swimming: Unfortunately we do not have a pool, however you can use the
Hotel Agoras for a small fee.
Fishing: We have to reservoirs locally for fishing, Trout,Tench &
Eel all in large numbers. The largest fish caught to date was a 37lb monster (thankyou Martin) caught by our friend Athos
at Dipotamos dam just below the Village. There is now a Freshwater fishing association in Cyprus, there is a link to their
site below. All the information you need can be found there. Licences can be organised locally.
Househunting: We currently have a developement of 9 new villas with stunning
views across the reservoir and down to the coast at Larnaca. Prices start from 145000cy for more detailed info, then give
us a call to arrange a viewing of the proposed site. Four new houses on large plots are also being built just outside Larnaca,
we have full details of these as well.
