NOTICE BOARD AT THE OFFICE

The music on this page is 'Ticket To The Moon' from the bonus cd dub & dusted.

Some news from the world of film now, I hear that one of the film projects that 'R Nicky' has been involved in has caused quite a stir at the CANNES FILM FESTIVAL. Apparently the powers that be are confused as to whether the film is a documentary or a scripted film. They say if it is a documentary then it should be banned as it is too contraversial to be allowed. Well, I think the best way to judge is to see for yourselves, so follow the link to 'badlad dot com' and check out the website link below. Maybe you can make up your own mind.

diary of a badlad.

YES YES peeps of Manchester welcome to the D'ArcAngels page for MANCSTA MUSIC and make sure you check out www.stankinass.co.uk

D’ArcAngels

D’arcangels are LOKI, KAPULOT and MASONIC, the group was formed by LOKI and MASONIC back in ‘99. The first 2 years were expiremental and GHETTO as F**K recording tracks on tape machine's spittin’ over other rappers instrumentals (you’ve gotta start somewhere), then producing on EVOLUTION and recording on a 4track to get a very low quality demo but which had loads of potential (other artists know what were talking about!!!). Anywayz getting to 2001 and KAPULOT joined the group (not like shit was official an all that we just clicked and the next 2 years were crazy!!!), he took on producing afta LOKI's PC packed in (ha ha) and it was PS2 at first before KAPULOT bought MOTLEY's old PC and setup which at the time was the heaviest recording setup we had since it all started BELIEVE.... The next months were spent in the studio developing production and writin’ skills from which we recorded our first original tracks as a 3 (no u can’t get a copy of em so don’t be e-mailin askin for that shit ha ha) we then started to get on to doin’ shows in 2002, the first thing we got onto was a competition called ‘Urban Voice’ we made it to the semi-finals which gave us tha hunger for more (nar mean ha ha). 2003 brought us to another competition, we hooked up with some BOGUS manager ( i bet alot of cats know exactly what we talking about?) but we got up brushed tha dirt off our shoulders and moved on!!! That led to 2004 working with next producers and doin sooooooo many shows up and down the country, various spots we rocked: Nottingham ('02), Birmingham ('02,'04), Liverpool ('03), London'04 and MANCHESTER (over the last 3 years!!)

From these shows n competitions we linked n collaborated with other producers and artists

and worked on various projects which then took us onto bigger and better things like supportin’

Acts such as KLASHNEKOFF, SKINNY MAN, RODNEY P N SKITZ, HEARTLESS CREW, MARC B N BLADE and USA’S DILATED PEOPLES all in 2004.

Which kinda brings us up to the point where KAPULOT n MOTLEY started working in 2004 towards setin’ up this ‘STANKIN ASS’ Label but now we in 2005 and its about to get LIVE!!!!!!! AND while MOTLEY and KAPULOT were pushing forward this label MASONIC and LOKI worked on the OFFICIAL Mancsta Music Mixtape for D'ARCANGELS MANCSTA MUSIC PRODUCTIONS!!

‘SHOUT OUTS’ Lyrical Assassins/Urban Knights, Motley, Dilated Peoples, Wrigley, Lyrican, Kevvy B, Doc Brown, Ko, Wanda, Peaches, D’ Rebellious 1, Dj Props, Dj Okey, Stacey, Broke n’ English

Some (less than) fatherly advice for LOUIS, Nicky's younger bother, from ROB of Alabama 3. 'Dont you be getting all involved in that, that rappin bizniz, and keep away from them records......or you'll end up like me n yer brother.' This advice was given at the 'after show' party in the salubrious surroundings of the nether regions of THE BAND ON THE WALL. Swan St Manchester. 5/5/04The gig was a sell out and as the punters crowded forward to the stage area Nicky was necking a pint and shouting to Rob, 'When am I on... have I got time to finish me pint?' After the first two songs in which the fiddle player exelled himself, Nicky was called on to the stage, amid much cheering and commentry from the crowd. Performing tracks to be included on the next album Nicky and the boys played non stop for almost an hour, giving an exellent performance well appreciated by the audieence.

FOR THE LAST SIX WEEKS THE JAM NIGHT HOSTED BY BIG DAVE AT DRY BAR HAS BEEN GRADUALY GAINING IN POPULARITY, MAINLY BECAUSE OF THE INPUT FROM THE PRECOCIOUSLY TALENTED 'RUUD' THE TEN YEAR OLD DJ'ING GENIUS. HE HAS BEEN SPINNING RECORDS FROM AN EARLY AGE AND HAS MORE TALENT IN HIS LITTLE TOE THAN SOME GROWN UPS HAVE HAD IN THEIR ENTIRE CAREERS. CHECK IT OUT AND BE ASTOUNDED.

NOT YOUR AVERAGE NIPPER

This biog was contributed by Ruuds dad, Big Dave.
Ruud was born in Saint Marys, in the early hours of 16th Jan, 1994
(he's 10 now).

He always loved music, since before he could talk, and wouldn't settle in bed unless he had Kiss 102 on in the bedroom, his favourite was monday nights, when Marcus and XTC were on playing jungle. Even his first words were radio jingles. We had a collection of 600+ CDs, and by the age of 2, Ruud could tell you the artist, album, year of recording, label and producer of each track in the collection. In 1998 (Ruud was 4), we managed to score a couple of CD decks and a mixer for his Mum, but it soon became obvious that Ruud had more of a talent than his mum for DJing, so he pursued it. At the age of 8 he finally got his hands on vinyl decks and he loved the new level of control he had over his mixes, a couple of months later (14/12/02) he played his first gig at Doodlebug, at the Contact Theatre, which, with help from Tracey, scored him a semi-regular spot at Deluxe cafe bar(Contact) on Wednesdays. He then went on to play the Sand bar, Respect festival, A Kut Above The Rest (Dry bar), Wonderland, TNT (resident), Razz with Ruud (every Friday at Zumbar), Rights of Passage festival, Off Da Hook (Dzark DFC (De Finest Camp) resident), Nylon (1 Central), Urban Dreamtime (Walkabout, resident), the Salutation BBQ, and  Flex (resident, Dry Bar).

He also produces his own music, and is getting invaluable experience and knowledge at the jams, working with other musicians. He has also worked at the Hippy Commune in Townhead Yorkshire, and the Stumblefunk thing in the Goyt Valley, Cheshire.

I didn't realise he'd been so busy til I started the biog, but
there you go.

veba singing her little heart out
bevstages.jpg
bless 'er

Among the local shiney people of this area we have the fabulous VEBA, a singer of superb vocal ability, her larger than life personality stands her in good stead on her many appearances in our town. Having sung on albums such as Rae and Christians 'Northern Sulphuric Soul' and J-Walks 'A Night on the Rocks' she has established herself as one of Manchesters most talented vocalists. Her other guestings include Tracey Elizabeth, and Fingathing. She regularly pulls the punters in at the Roadhouse when she dj's and freestyles on the Grand Central nights.
Among her other talents ( that means stuff she's good at ) she is an accomplished spinmaster and dj. with regular appearences at BLACK ANGEL and Tribeca. Sometimes working with the lovely DebJump she is available for weddings and funerals for a small fee.
