Reynards Rest is built on the hillside overlooking the
coastal village of Par. Much mentioned in Daphne du Maurier's 'The House on the Strand', Par is a thriving village
situated on St Austell Bay between the better known ports of Fowey and Charlestown. It boasts a mainline railway
station (direct services to London Paddington and Penzance among others, as well as a branch line service to the north coast
resort of Newquay), newsagent, grocery stores, a library and no less than four pubs!
Carol and Doug Scrafton look forward to welcoming you to their
home, which saw duty during World War II as a US army officers' mess, and later as a care home. Situated
near the top of a hill overlooking Par, there are some breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside, as well as
of sandy Par Beach.
