JUNE 2    TANGLEFOOT – On tour from Canada they are a thunderous band with a reputation for

           spectacular vocal harmonies, powerful musicianship & strong songwriting. These 4 guys

               and a lady  play double bass, piano, fiddle, mandolin & guitar.

9             DOWNES & BEER – Paul & Phil will tonight be launching their new live album which

               was recorded entirely at Nettlebed. These guys don’t get the chance to play as a duo very

               often now, due to Phil’s Show of Hands schedule – so don’t miss out!

16           VIN GARBUTT – Vin is one of the best known performers on the music scene today, and

               one of the most sought after. It is no surprise! His song-writing is witty & powerful,

               tackling thought provoking issues and he is an accomplished guitarist & whistle player.

               Tonight will also feature a set from Bruce Gomersall & Nigel McKernahan.

23           MARTIN SIMPSON & ANDY CUTTING – Martin is the master of the acoustic guitar

               & he won 2 more BBC awards this year for ‘Best Album & ‘Best Original Song’. Andy is

               a superb melodeon player and he has just won the BBC Award for ‘Musician of the Year’.

30         LAUREN McCORMICK & EMILY PORTMAN – Traditional & contemporary songs

               with superb harmony with flute & concertina. They are taking the folk scene by storm with

               festival appearances including Sidmouth & Glastonbury. They also tour annually with

               Waterson:Carthy and appear on their latest CD. Tonight will also feature a special return

               set from Richard Holland with Terry Page & Maria Jaffray.

JULY 7    JAMES KEELAGHAN TRIO – James Keelaghan is one of Canada’s leading acoustic

               performers and an accomplished songwriter. His songs turn epic tales into deeply moving pieces

               that strike an emotional chord. James is a rich baritone and a faultless guitarist, presenting

               songs of humour & passion. He’ll be with Hugh McMillan, bass player with legendary

               Canadian band, ‘Spirit of the West’ and young female fiddler Jaime RT.

14         THE USUAL SUSPECTS present a ‘FOLK ON THE ROCKS REVIVAL’ – Hugh & the back

               line from ‘Feast of Fiddles’ will revive their amazing ‘covers’ night with Steve

           Stanton on vocals & Alan Whetton on sax as a special show for Mike’s birthday!
