I was fortunate to have had the privilege of knowing Ch. Dalbaro Samson who for me depicted the breed standard. I have based my breeding programme on Samson’s lineage and he is behind many of the top winning Keeshonds in the UK .I have bred many successful dogs myself, but the dogs that I currently exhibit have been bred by fellow Keeshond enthusiasts who have used my dogs as sires to their litters. Ch Byquy Burgomaster was my first stud dog and he was my milestone.

Ch Byquy Burgomaster was the sire of many of the wonderful dogs that I have owned here at Valindale. These include, Ch Byquy Barrymore, Ch Veklee For Your Eyes Only at Valindale and Ch Kevkees The Helmsman at Valindale. The Helmsman won the dog challenge certificate at Crufts in 1999 and then went one better at Crufts 2000 by taking the dog CC with best of breed.

Another exciting addition to Valindale was Ch Desanti Before Dawn at Valindale. This bitch was conceived through artificial insemination in 2000 by the top winning Australian dog Aus Gr Ch Nynka Such A Dutchman. She went on to become top CC winning Keeshond for 2002. Amongst her many wins she was awarded the bitch CC and reserve best in show at both the North of England Keeshond Club’s championship show and The Keeshond Club championship show.

I was able to acquire a niece of Ch Veklee For Your Eyes Only at Valindale whom I mated to a Burgomaster grandson. This union enable me to line breed back to Burgomaster and the resulting litter has given me my current lines. These include Valindale Wiskymak, Valindale Rum Punch at Esorkees and in Canada Can Ch Valindale Famous Grouse

At present I am exhibiting Ch Foxifayre Solitaire with Valindale. This young bitch gained her UK title at the age of 13 months in three consecutive shows. "Solo is owned in partnership with her breeder Mrs. Beryl Henman of the Foxifayre Keeshonden.

Valindale Wiskymak is producing exciting progeny to bitches from a variety of lines and I hope these will help to continue this exciting and exceptional line of Keeshonden in today’s interesting, yet varied breeding practises.
